      <image:title>My Story - our story</image:title>
<image:caption>So many women reach middle age and describe the same experience: Things don’t feel the way I thought they would. Maybe it’s hitting perimenopause at the same time your pre-teen kids hit puberty and your aging parents start to need you in a very different way (thus, the “Sandwich Generation” when you find yourself feeling pulled apart, right when the usual coping mechanisms aren’t working as well). Maybe you don’t have kids, but life isn’t unfolding the way you thought it would for a million different reasons. You never met “the right person” or you did, but now they aren’t feeling so right because you grew in a different direction. Or things that used to be okay for you no longer are. Maybe the job you have doesn’t feel like the right job, or you’re starting to wonder if you’re living the “right life”! You are not alone. SO many women reach this phase of life — the “Third Act” if you will — and go through a “second puberty” and a kind of reclamation. It can be unsettling and scary, but it can also be freeing and empowering. Sometimes we just need to have a safe space to say all the scary things out loud, to follow the “what ifs” down the path a bit, and see what kind of adventure might open to us. It doesn’t mean you have to set sail, but it would be a shame not to give yourself the freedom to explore. Too many women are having these thoughts and feelings quietly, worrying it’s just them. It’s not just you. Sometimes you just need someone to tell you the water is warm, and it’s okay to stick your toe in. Hi. The water is warm. It’s okay to stick your toe in. I love working with women at this stage of life.</image:caption>
