how I work

Insight is a start. Lasting change happens somewhere deeper.

Most talk therapy stays in the thinking mind — useful, but limited. Real, lasting change happens when we also work with the body and the unconscious mind, where old patterns actually live.

I trained for years as a talk therapist, and I still use those skills every day — understanding your story matters. But understanding isn't the same as healing. So I bring together a few different modalities, each one designed to help you get out of your head and back into your body, where change can actually take hold.

The Modalities:

Clinical Hypnosis

Speaking directly to the part of you that already knows how to change

A focused, deeply relaxed state where the unconscious mind becomes accessible. This is where outdated beliefs — the old software still quietly running in the background — actually get rewritten, not just understood. You're never "out of control." You're aware, relaxed, and doing some of the most direct change-work available in therapy.

Somatic EFT / Tapping

Letting the body release what talking can't

Somatic EFT combines gentle acupressure with focused attention to calm the nervous system and release emotional charge stored in the body. This is one of the clearest ways I know to help someone drop out of their head and into their body in real time. You don't just talk about the anxiety or the old wound. You feel your body let it go.

Nervous System Regulation

Teaching your body it's safe again

Your body has its own intelligence, and it's exquisitely designed to heal — but it needs to feel safe to do that. I help you learn to recognize and regulate your nervous system's responses, so you're not just managing symptoms. You're reconnecting with a body that can find its way back to calm on its own.

Neuroscience-Informed Therapy

Making change feel possible, not mysterious

Understanding why your mind works the way it does — especially what we know about neuroplasticity — makes the path to change concrete instead of abstract. This is where talk therapy still plays a real role: not as the destination, but as the doorway in.

These aren't separate treatments running in parallel — they build on each other. A hypnosis session might surface a belief. Somatic EFT releases the emotion attached to it. Nervous system work helps the change settle into your body, not just your understanding. This is what coming home to yourself actually looks like in a session.

None of this is about giving you something you don't already have. It's about clearing the noise so you can hear the wisdom that's been inside you all along — and finally trust it.
